Party Week

It's been one big party at our house this week to celebrate Benjamin's Birthday! Ben was born 7 years ago today and he has brought so much into our home since then. He's the glue that brings us together and the spice that livens up our home. His brothers both adore him and who doesn't?

Meet Jacob, our tourguide/party planner:
He was so excited about Ben's party this year and kind of took over. I'm not saying I didn't have plenty to do, but Jake loved getting everything ready. If you're not familiar with Club Penguin, it is our boys' favorite computer game right now. Jacob decided to recreate Club Penguin in our home, complete with games (puffle rescue, card-jitsu, fishing), puffle feeding, disco dancing, cookie pizzas and even a gift shop at the end where the kids could spend their coins they earned at the party. We did it a week early and it was a great way to spend our last day of summer vacation. Jacob loves Ben and parties - so this was the perfect match!

Our boys bought penguin shirts at the gift shop and each colored and personalized them. They use them for pj's and look great.

Today they were all up at the crack of dawn ready for presents again. Ben carries all those little puffles with him everywhere, so he got a puffle duffle for his birthday and a Harry Potter Lego game for his collection. We LOVE legos and PUFFLES.

While playing the game, Benjamin said, "I like to do it with detail." That is a good description of Ben's life. He likes everything precise and detailed, from the pictures he draws to his lego creations. We love you Benjamin. We hope this is a great year for you!!

Dog Days of Summer

So summer is winding down, and so am I!! We've had a nice summer, but it seems like back to school usually comes at about the right time! (Fuses are a little shorter at our house, how about yours?) We've gone camping and to Bear Lake the past couple of weekends and really had a great time. Here are a few pictures of our summer:
The boys have gotten really good at chess this summer!

Grandpa let the boys ride with him on the tractor last weekend. Jacob called me in to show me his legos. I think it looks just like grandpa and Jake!!

Good bye summer! Hello routines, homework, soccer games and practices, cool air (wishful thinking) and all that comes with it! GOOD LUCK!
