The Legend of Mookie Wookie

Micah has had a great experience at his new school this year.  He has really enjoyed his teacher and has had a fun class.  They work hard, but he has learned a lot and gotten some great opportunities.  One of those was writing and producing an Opera!!  They have been hard at work all year getting their Opera ready.  They wrote the script, edited the script (they had to cut a lot out), sang the parts for a composer to put together a musical score, rehearsed, painted the scenery and performed!!  It was fun to have a small part in the action myself as the pianist.  The big day was Thursday and it was such a wonderful experience for the kids.  They even had a special guest, Grandpa Henry B Eyring :)
The story takes place in the Land of Mookie Wookie (the teacher has been so patient this year with 18 boys and 4 girls!) Micah was our Spanish speaking Penguin and did a great job memorizing the songs in Spanish as well as English.
Besides Sea Animals, there were Jibble Dibbles, Flibbabadibbers and Swamp Monsters and Reptiles.  There were a few tense moments in the Opera and some rough times getting along, but in the end they celebrated their Uniqueness and learned that people matter more than things.  Great job Micah!!
(The above pictures were taken by some other moms)
Micah and his good friend Sam...they have had so much fun this year!
Micah's group's portion of the scenery - he even got to write Mookie Wookie!

I love when my kids are given such great opportunities to grow and develop!! Luckily I was playing the piano so I couldn't cry, but I'm so grateful for days like this.

Ma's Day 2015

Jacob calls me "Ma" these days.  I'll take it.  I love being ma to these boys and our annual Mother's Day pictures always make me so happy.  I just sit and look at them all week!
Do you see a Micah?
Hope they are always great friends!
The majority of time around our home is goofiness...this one is very appropriate!
Notice the background :)
What a beautiful day!!

These were my favorite...except you get to see Phil translated before your very eyes!
Yep, that's our Ben!
Yep, all (4) mine!
Happy Mother's Day!
