Jacob earned his first set of stitches today!! When I got the call from school that he had gotten hurt in PE, I wasn't in too big of a hurry until I heard "might need stitches..." I'll be right there! They were playing baseball and Jacob was a little too close to the batter and hopefully learned his lesson as the racket (bat) took a little chunk out of his skin by his eye. He was such a brave little trooper and all business at the Dr.'s office. I was very proud of him! They got us out of there pretty quickly and he was quite excited to surprise dad when he got home. We're hoping this is a first...and a last for our family...ok Ben and Micah??Thursday, April 16, 2009

So sad, I am glad he is alright, but a little scary too.
When we got our first set of stitches, they said to prepare to get to know them in the ER with all boys. Needless to say, we've only gone twice, knock on wood. Sounds painful though. Another reason I was always glad I was home just in case those type calls came. He looks pleased to show his battle wound.
Happy Healing. After the stitches are out, put vitamin e on it twice a day. That stuff is amazing for scars.
Oh Man, poor guy! He seems pretty pleased about it though!!
I think you had just better make friends with the ER- there is no way around it with three boys!
Hope Spring makes it way to you soon....
Good thing it didn't hit the eye - it was so close!
