I couldn't resist posting this picture of Jacob, in the toddler bed we just took down, for the first time. And Phil wonders why I'M getting all emotional!!! Can that be the same kid?

Sweet Brothers
It's been a bit emotional around here lately. After Micah's hand-me-down dresser drawers finally gave way, we decided to get a new bed with drawers in it and move everybody on up. We were all very excited. Jacob gets his own room, Ben and Micah share the bunk beds and everybody's happy:

Until this was what really happened the first night:
Jacob ended up on their floor on a toddlers mattress and Ben hopped down out of his bed and slept on the floor by his best friend. They have been so sad about the thought of separating, even just for the night. It is so fun to have boys that get along so well (for the most part). Jacob finally fell asleep in his new bed tonight, but not without being "very lonely." It's hard to know what to do, but it makes me grateful to have such good boys.

That totally got me tearing up. Your boys are so sweet and it is wonderful that they love each other so much.
oh how sweet! how do I get kids to be friends like that?
We too will someday face this dilema when the baby is big enough and it's time for Ethan to have his own room again (not until far into the future). We have had emotional issues though with Madie be jealous of the boys and their bunkbeds and feeling that same "lonely" feeling in her room all alone. At some point he will love having his own room and Madie is slowly being okay with everything. Good luck gotta love transitions right?
I remember doing the same thing. My boys still have slumber parties on the weekends and sleep together in the basement.
Oh, love the things we made in Primary hanging on their beds, it made my heart smile.
Now that last picture is the Jacob I knew! I can't believe how old he looks now! Wowzers! That is so sweet too that they all slept together. :)
