Phil and I have been doing gingerbread parties since we were first married in Seattle. I think we've only missed one year out of 12. We finally feel like we're figuring it out. I found a recipe I love. I have a great cookie cutter that cuts out the houses, the pieces interlock and we don't have to spend the night fixing fallen houses. We love getting together with friends and even a little bit of competition.
As the kids have gotten older, I thought it would lose some of it's fun and charm, but it's been just the opposite. It has been so fun to see their creative juices flow as they put more candy on their houses than in their mouths. They look forward to it each year, and so do we!!

Did Micah make that all by himself? Very impressive! I think it is so cool that you do that every year. Fun tradition!
Awesome houses. I love making Gingerbread houses with me kids too. I will have to show them yours, to get more creativity flowing in them.
