It was a busy, great week at our house. We started out Thursday with a piano recital. It's always so fun to see my students work so hard and play so well. They did a great job and we had a fun twist this go around. They all played Broadway/Movie themes and we played Bingo while they did their pieces. We even had some that dressed up, which was fantastic! I thought my boys did great!! (Better than me, I can never seem to pull my song off perfectly, but that's ok!!) Micah played
The Lion Sleeps tonight. Ben played
Hedwig's Theme. And Jacob played
Linus and Lucy. I love how well Charlie Brown matched the piano! Phil and I also had a great time putting together some fun awards for the end of the evening. Good work everyone!

With the recital out of the way, we could focus on the Blue and Gold Banquet which Phil was in charge of. He did a great job of recreating "The Knights of the Round table." Our scout master has a friend who brought actual knight gear and the evening was complete with "knighting" our two Arrow of Light recipients and some duels between all of the "squires" and the knights. I think the boys will remember it for a long time. Way to go King Phillip!
