So after about 11 years of teaching piano lessons, I have called it quits for now. Micah will be in first grade this year and with the boys getting busier it is time for a new chapter in life. I have taught in 3 different states, probably about 50 or so students and it has brought a lot of joy into my life to see my little students turn into pianists. It hasn't been an easy job...there are days when our house is too crazy for an after school job, it has taken a lot of patience at times, and can be a pretty thankless job, but I have the loved the kids I have worked with and hope that music continues to be a great influence in their lives. My boys don't know it, but they will continue to be my only students (lucky them:) It will be lovely to be able to focus on them when they get home from school and I am excited for this new phase. But for now I am a bit melancholy...

No worries, you will fill that time up quickly enjoying those boys who will grow all too fast. You're a great mom and will not regret this decision. Although those who were your students may be a bit sad, they'll survive.
Proud of you!
