The middle of February brought lots of the usual events at our house: making valentines,
Preschool Parties,
and Pack Meeting. This Pack Meeting was one of our favorites of the year, Blue and Gold Banquet. Phil always does such a great job and this year's was no exception. Robots! (Hence the huge robot in the preschool photo! Luckily it coincided with R is for Robot Week!)
Phil created the robot, provided a Robot spaghetti bar,
and invited a robot specialist as our guest speaker. It was a lot of fun!
But I was pleasantly surprised to find that he also had time to plan a Valentines date for us. I was supposed to be ready at 5:30. Running late like always I hurried to get ready, dressing up as instructed. He was about ready and sent me down to prep the boys for our departure. As I came downstairs, I found Micah waiting for me at the bottom. He was dressed in his suit and had a table waiting for me with delicious meats, cheeses and fruits (one of our favorite dinners). He pulled my chair out for me and was my "1st date". We discussed the happenings at Adelaide Elementary, the weather and I'm sure some legos too. It was lovely! At the sound of a trumpet (thanks Jacob), he politely excused himself to use and bathroom and my "next date", Benjamin, came back to the table. All the while, Phil was waiting on us and got a clean plate and cup for Ben. We talked again and enjoyed each other until the sounding of a trumpet, when the exchange was made for my "third date" Jacob!! The scary thing with Jacob was the fact that he isn't entirely too far way from the dating scene and I could picture him being quite a charming little date. Finally my "last date" showed up and Benjamin waited on Phil and I. It was so fun. Of course I cried! Such handsome, polite young men. It meant a lot to me. They also each cut in to dance with me. I was on cloud nine! I think we ended the night watching the Olympics (we were addicted to Sochi 2014). Perfect! I'm SO grateful for these young men and their dad in my life.
Best. Valentines. Ever!!

See, it isn't so bad being a mom of all boys after all. Thanks for raising such wonderful men. All four of them!
