I've spent several wonderful trips in Europe, always admiring the country side. It is so beautiful! Yet this weekend, as we spent the Fourth of July in the perfect place...the mountains...I was touched and grateful that we live in such a beautiful land ourselves. It was such a lovely drive on our way to Snake River, where we able to Ride the Rapids with some friends. We had a wonderful time and it felt like the right way to spend celebrating our Country by being out in it!
The river and scenery were gorgeous!
We got together with some friends from our old ward and some new friends.
After we took a ride on the rapids, we headed back to a fun spot to swim and do some cliff jumping. It's amazing how quickly a boat going by chanting "Jump, Jump, Jump" can get a timid jumper off the cliff!
Love Micah's knees!
Our scenic float was also beautiful. We saw several bald eagles, a golden eagle, a beaver, some deer and lots of cool birds.
One more ride on the rapids with the younger boys. They loved it!
And one more shot at cliff jumping!
So grateful for the beautiful world we live in and happy to be out in it for the weekend!
