Girl's "Night"

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous

I've been blessed with good friends and a GREAT husband. During the years we lived in Houston, it became a tradition to go to Rodeo every year with the girls. It became such a tradition, that it was too hard to give up!! The last few years, I've been able to fly down and visit my girlfriends and go to the rodeo. What a great tradition!!

Now for you non-Texans, rodeo is not just a rodeo. It lasts two weeks, everyone goes, there are concerts every night and you just have to have one of those stuffed baked potatoes!! We went to Reba this year. She's amazing...but not as amazing as those great friends I've made. It's more that just going to rodeo, it's catching up with old friends like we still live next door. These are incredible women that I miss dearly and I'm grateful to have in my life. Thanks for leaving those footprints on my heart ladies. Yeehaw!!

Eleven of us went, but here's a few...We all pitch in some $ for someone to ride the bull. Great entertainment. It may look easy, but last year I exited my 20's and entered my 30's by riding the bull, and it is hard!! I'm sure I got 8 seconds though!!
Actual size and yes, very worth that free point for dinner...

I also got to stay with one of my best friends, Jen, who used to be my neighbor. I'm bummed I didn't get a picture, but she's one of my favorite people. Jen's one of those that made living in humid, sticky, hot, lizard infested Texas (Ok i'm being a little harsh!) a joy and I miss having her so close.

Thanks ladies, see you next year!!

How fun to see some old faces! We went only once and it was to see Hilary Duff perform. I also remember a guy breaking his leg in half while riding bull. Hope that didn't happen to you!

What a potato, I never saw those there. We always got the ostrich legs, I mean turkey legs.
