Our school has held a great event the last two years: The Constitution Bowl. Teams from all over the valley come to participate in a competition to learn about the constitution. We encouraged (ok forced) Benjamin to take part this year and he did a great job. He (we) learned a lot about the constitution and his team represented our school well. I'm very proud of him and I thoroughly enjoyed helping that day as these grade school kids showed off what they had learned!
My friend Becky organized the event and did a fantastic job. It was double elimination and the students all seemed to feel good about what they were able to learn.

Events like this always make me cry! I love it when my kids are given opportunities to learn and grow. This stretched Ben and together I feel like we learned a lot.

So cool. He will thank you one day for "encouraging" him to do things like this, when he knows more about things like that. Can he use the experience for any merit badges? haha
