EIGHT?

I'm not talking 8 bunny ears, though there were 8 of those, I'm talking eight years old!! Jacob hit a major milestone today turning 8. Why does that make me feel so old? We celebrated by having a party all day. Swimming lessons, park, water party, playing with his new erector set, hamburgers and more water once dad got home. I think it was a good one!
Nothing is better than Jacob giggling. He has been a lot of fun the last 8 years. Jacob is a good kid. He is a good brother and friend. He's a great son. It's almost painful to look back on those first few years when it was just Jacob. At times I long for those simple times. We were constant companions. But it's also fun to see Jake growing up and filling new roles. He loves sports, riding bikes and playing computer. Jacob knows what is right and sticks up for it. It's so exciting to think about him being baptized in a few weeks. I'm grateful to have Jacob in our home and family. Happy Birthday Bud!

Happy Birthday Jake. Looks like you had a great time with all the boys in the neighborhood. Eight is such a great age, and you get to do so many new things; baptism, Cub Scouts, 3rd Grade. Have a great 8th year pal.

Jenni, excellent job on the cake, have you thought of going into the business??? Attn: Mandi:)

It looks like they had a great time and I can't believe he is already 8 (Madie will be 8 next year and I am in total denial that she will be that old). I love the cake you did a fantastic job decorating it. I hope you are doing well.

Wow, It is hard to believe we have 8 year olds. I love the cake. Was it hard to find the rock candy? I made an aquarium cake for Cassidy when she was 6 and drove all over Salt Lake, looking for rock candy.
