We've had many obsessions around here over the last 8 years. Thomas, dolphins, Bob the Builder, Wall-e, back to Thomas, dinosaurs, Club Penguin, the wii, Star Wars etc. But none have lasted as long as legos. Sometime in the fall, we order 5 lbs of legos on Ebay. 5 POUNDS OF LEGOS! The boys have not had a day without legos since then. They love them!! We have power miner legos, star wars, Indiana Jones, Christmas Countdowns and Lego Atlantis. They've made Harry Potter legos, Jacob, Benjamin and Micah lego guys and even a leprechaun this week that was pretty impressive. They just can't seem to get enough. Though I'm tired of picking up legos, it is so fun to see the creative juices flow as they build each day.
This is a lego rendition of wrestle time at our house:

If you've been to our house, you 'll recognize our green couches, the entertainment center on the left and oh look, even our pile of legos in the corner. The funny thing is that the lego floor is lego free, which is the only thing that isn't accurate. (My brother Jeff is amazed that they can have legos evenly spaced 2 inches apart over our entire family room floor!) You'll also see the boys hoovered over Phil, with one up higher, about to jump on his stomach. Nice attention to detail!!

Here's is one of Jacob's creations:

Very creative!
And here's a familiar sight:

When Phil or I hear one of the boys say, "Can you help me find a ___________?", we start to run. How are we supposed to find a little tiny piece as big as this "a" in a huge bin of legos? Who knows if it has been vacuumed up or not, and of course it's usually the next crucial piece in whatever it is they're creating.
Just so you can see what Phil and I spend our time doing, can you find this (enlarged to show detail):

in this?

Good luck!!

I found it!
The only thing worse is stepping on those darn things in the middle of the night with bare feet. I do love the creativity they come up with when they use them.
