After Micah ate his lunch (he always does a pattern: today it was drink, orange, sandwich, cracker, repeat - such a cutie!), he headed to the playground to play. Before long I was suggesting challenges and he was passing them off with great enthusiasm. It's so funny how life is a video game to that child. Level 1: climb up the ladder and slide down the slide. Level 2: walk around the border of the playground - if you fall off, you have to start over etc. etc. It kept him busy for quite a while. Micah made it to level 11, without losing ANY lives!
What if life really IS just a video game? It seems that as soon as one challenge is overcome, a new one pops up. We again struggle and prepare to pass that level, then move on to the next. The tasks may be harder and more challenging. We often we fail, but if we're lucky, we get another chance. If we've learned from our mistakes we're able to move on to the next challenge (please don't send me back to the beginning!) Just when you think you've got it figured out, someone unlocks a new level and we're off again. I 'm just hoping I can stay away from the chain-chomps and don't drive off any cliffs.
(Phil couldn't resist videoing us playing wii at Christmas time. I thought this appropriate!)

Does it help if you move the steering wheel all over the place??? You drive it like I do. I'm terrible at these games. Hope you had a wonderful b-day. Sounds like you had an amazing lunch date. Happy Birthday my Friend.
Ahhhh that was so much fun, dressing just like Jake!
Tee-hee! Loved the video!
