Soccer, leaves and pigs...

the key ingredients for a perfect fall Saturday.  We got up early and Phil and the older two went to help with our neighborhood cleanup.  I love the opportunity they have to help at a young age.  After finding a leak in our sink (oh yeah) we headed to Micah's soccer game.
Our orange #5 is become quite the little ball handler and scored 2 goals (one in the picture above).
My parents and nieces and nephew showed up to watch the game and we had a lovely picnic after wards.  It was such a beautiful fall day...we couldn't resist the leaves...or the buffalo.

After Jacob went to baseball practice, we set out on another adventure.

This year the theme for Reflections "Believe, Dream, Inspire." When I asked Micah what inspires him, he answered, "Pigs." And he was serious!  Apparently Micah would like to be a pig farmer someday, so we set off to find pigs for Micah to photograph for Reflections.

We settled on trying out Wheeler Historic Farm in Salt Lake.  At first glance we weren't too inspired, but as we explored more, we finally found our pigs...fast asleep.
Here's your pigs Micah. Well, would you believe that after a couple of minutes, our two pigs jumped up and put on a half hour photo shoot for Micah.  They frolicked, they ate, the posed.  It was amazing!
I swear this one is smiling.
I love that this one has Micah's cute little shadow in it.
And a few of Micah with Phil's camera.  What a sweetheart!
The story gets better. As soon as Phil said, "Time to go," the little piggies ran into their little house and stayed inside to sleep.  It was an amazing turn of events and a tender mercy that left us all inspired!  Thank you Micah!

We ended the day with a Halloween party at Phil's sisters and watching MLB baseball together as a family.  Days don't get any better than that if you ask me.  The perfect Saturday!!
